John B. Weltmer, Jr., M.D. to the practice. Dr. Weltmer was raised in Kansas City, Missouri, where he received his Medical Degree from University of Missouri at Kansas City. He completed his general surgery internship and orthopedic residency at McLaren Regional Medical Center at Michigan State University. After finishing his Foot & Ankle Orthopedics Fellowship at UCLA Medical Center, Dr. Weltmer returned to the St. Louis area in 1989, to practice orthopedic surgery.Prior to joining Tesson Heights Orthopaedics, Dr. Weltmer was with Premier Care Orthopedics South, a Division of Signature Health Services, Inc., where he served as a past president.

We are proud to have Dr. Weltmer join our growing orthopedic practice.Dr. Weltmer is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and has his fellowship of the American College of Surgeons. He is an Associate Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at St. Louis University.

Dr. Weltmer is a past President and current member of both the St. Louis Orthopaedic Society and the St. Louis Rheumatology Association. Dr. Weltmer is also a current member of the American Medical Association, American Orthopedic Foot & Ankle Society, Mid-America Orthopedic Association, Missouri State Orthopaedic Association, and the Prescription Footwear Association.Dr. Weltmer is accepting new patients and also accepts worker’s compensation patients, including Independent Medical Evaluations (IME’s).
